Genesis Croix DeFer
Our long-standing partnership wth Genesis has produced many a range-leading bike over the last few years including the much-loved Croix DeFer.
It’s fair to say the Croix has a worldwide reputation, firmly cemented in 2010 when Vin Cox broke the Guinness World Record for cycling around the world faster than anyone had done before.
Genesis encapsulate the qualities of the Croix perfectly:
Fast and responsive, yet stable, surefooted and perfectly balanced, the Croix’ 20 personifies fun on two wheels, paved or unpaved. Without doubt the closest bike in the Genesis range fitting the fabled ‘one bike’ mantra. Commuting duties during the week then epic, multi-terrain adventures at the weekend, the Croix is a capable and adaptable beast of a bike that rarely gets fazed whichever way you point it.
With a wider gear range, some great trickle-down tech from Shimano in the form of new Tiagra, excellent multi-surface Clement X’Plor USH tyres, lighter, tubeless-ready hoops, and flared drop handlebars, the Croix’ 20 is more refined and capable than ever before.
And it got some favourable comments from road.cc too – read the full review.
