This Reynolds 653 road frame was built in September 2015. The tube set production was dated from stamps on the chain stays 598 3 88 & 598 4 89. 598 is the catalog number, the next number week or month and last number the year, in this case 1988 and 1989. The set was full and complete and had been sitting on a shelf since purchase most probably in 1990. It features the 653 decal with a purple background and gold lettering.
